App preferences

Theme, interface scale, timezone, send key, typing privacy and other everyday knobs.

Preferences (user menu) → General. Everything here is stored server-side and follows you across browsers and devices.

• Theme — light, dark, or follow the system.
• Interface scale — grow or shrink the whole UI independently of the browser zoom.
• Emoji skin tone — the default tone used by the picker and autocomplete.
• Send key — Enter, Shift+Enter or Ctrl+Enter sends; the other combination inserts a newline.
• Timezone — timestamps across the app render in the timezone you pick, wherever you log in from.
• Privacy: typing indicator — opt out of broadcasting “…is typing” to others; you’ll still see theirs.
• Composing — turn emoticon conversion (:D → 😄) on or off.
