Account & preferences
Your profile, presence, notifications, language, favorites and data — all in one place.
The user menu (bottom of the rail) holds your profile, status and Preferences. Settings are stored server-side — they follow you across browsers and devices. The pieces:

Favorites & hidden channels
Star a channel to pin it into a Favorites section on top of the sidebar; hide channels you don’t care about (they collapse into a Hidden section). Sections collapse; unread channels show bold with badges.
Groups
My groups lists the user groups you belong to; owners rename, manage members or transfer ownership.
