Account & preferences

Your profile, presence, notifications, language, favorites and data — all in one place.

The user menu (bottom of the rail) holds your profile, status and Preferences. Most settings are stored server-side and follow you across browsers and devices: theme, send key, language, timezone, typing-indicator privacy, the desktop-notification opt-in, emoticon conversion, “pick up where you left off” and which sidebar sections you left collapsed. A few describe this browser and stay in it — interface scale, emoji skin tone and every voice/video setting. The pieces:

Favorites & hidden channels

Star a channel to pin it into a Favorites section on top of the sidebar; hide channels you don’t care about (they collapse into a Hidden section). Sections collapse; unread channels show bold with badges.

Groups

My groups lists the user groups you belong to; owners rename, manage members or transfer ownership.
